Control issues are often difficult to overcome on our own, nonetheless, for those who aren’t ready for that level of the manifestation process, I will still attempt to give you some guidance on that issue in what follows…
Despite my 40 years of personal practice in the art of manifestation, I have found that success in manifesting EXACTLY what I want every time isn’t realistic. There are just too many other factors and people in play to get exactly what I want, when I want it. For any situation that involves other people, it is far more effective for me to add to the equation a statement and mindset of “this or something better.” This always transpires.
.
The fact is that the only thing we can fully control is ourselves—and even that’s not always easy! Needing to have control over anything other than ourselves is a losing battle and wastes our energy. Trying to control another person’s actions and emotions, (even through the Laws of Mind) is especially fruitless.
Even in a classical sense, how you choose to perceive a situation will determine your emotions and behaviors. This automatically effects how you feel and what vibe others pick up from you – which naturally alters their thoughts, emotions and behaviors toward you. Only in this way can we control another person, for thought is the creative force in life and we cannot think for another.
What we can do instead of needing our good to come from an exact person or channel, is fulfill our desires by trusting in the intelligent benevolence of goodness that created us to align us with our highest good. This is the mindset wherein we access true peace, freedom and balance. Our power to choose faith in the goodness of the universe is the ultimate “superpower”. When we have this, the need to control every aspect of life leaves us and we know lasting peace.
Does this mean we stop trying to manifest for ourselves those things we want? Not at all! We still benefit greatly from thinking positively and visualizing wonderful things because this mindset is the communication to the universe that aligns us with, and opens us up to experience to the good stuff that is our natural birth right.
In effect then, we don’t have to strive for the good things we want, we need only clear out the gunk that negativity has blocked our receiving channels with. Striving is the energy of need/lack. Allowing is the mindset of acceptance and receiving.
The superpower of allowing and how it corresponds to Law of Mind principles:
Allowing refers to the process of aligning your thoughts, emotions, and energy with your desires, letting go of resistance, and trusting that what you want will manifest. It’s about creating a receptive state where you’re not blocking your desires with doubt, fear, or negative beliefs. Allowing involves cultivating a mindset of faith, openness, and detachment from the “how” or “when” of the outcome, focusing instead on the feeling of already having what you desire.
How Allowing Works in the Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction suggests that like attracts like—your thoughts and emotions emit a vibrational frequency that attracts matching experiences. Allowing is the final step in this process (after asking and believing), where you:
- Release Resistance: Resistance comes from negative emotions like fear, doubt, or impatience, which create a vibrational mismatch with your desires. Allowing means letting go of these blocks.
- Align with Your Desire: You focus on the positive emotions associated with your goal, such as joy, gratitude, or excitement, to match its vibrational frequency.
- Trust the Process: You surrender control over the specifics of how or when your desire will manifest, trusting the universe to deliver in the best way.
- Stay Open to Opportunities: Allowing involves being receptive to unexpected paths, synchronicities, or inspired actions that lead you toward your goal.
