We have all heard (and probably use) the saying “knock on wood” when we want to ward off negativity or keep something on a positive trajectory. This statement is a very good indicator of when we are coming from a fearful state of mind. Fear of losing the good we currently have may make us hesitant to appreciate that currently good thing too much. This makes sense logically, but nonetheless it is opposite to how the Laws of Mind/attraction work.
Gratitude, when practiced consistently keeps this fear from rising because when we have practiced gratitude, not only our enjoyment of the present gift increase, but so does our power to attract more things to be grateful for.
The Law of Attraction heavily emphasizes gratitude aligns your mindset with positive energy, which is believed to attract more positive experiences. Gratitude shifts focus from lack to abundance, fostering a high-vibrational state that resonates with the Law of Attraction’s principle of “like attracts like.” When you’re grateful, you cultivate feelings of joy, contentment, and optimism, which are thought to magnetize similar positive outcomes. It also rewires your brain to notice opportunities, reinforcing belief in possibility and abundance, key drivers in manifesting desires. Conversely, focusing on what you lack generates negative energy, potentially attracting more scarcity.
Why Gratitude is Central to the Law of Attraction:
- Vibrational Alignment: Gratitude elevates your emotional “frequency,” aligning you with positive outcomes. The Law of Attraction posits that the universe responds to your emotional state, so gratitude creates a fertile ground for attracting what you want.
- Shifts Perspective: It redirects attention from problems to blessings, fostering a mindset of abundance. This shift makes you more open to recognizing and acting on opportunities.
- Amplifies Positivity: Expressing gratitude reinforces positive neural pathways, making optimism and hope habitual, which strengthens your ability to visualize and manifest goals.
- Builds Trust in the Process: Gratitude reinforces faith in the universe’s benevolence, reducing doubt and fear, which can block manifestations.
